Creationists

Hi guys, hope all is good with in the world of Feeding Egon fandom.

On Saturday we played a GUBS night at Creation Studios on Trongate. It's a rehearsal space with a cafe on the ground level which serves as the gig venue. We witnessed the first gigs of new Glasgow bands The Remnants and Overtone, both of whom played fantastic sets, well done to them. Minor Arcana also played, an experimental celtic rock band who played their own material and covers (which they made their own). Whilst we're on it, thanks to Lewis and the GUBS guys for organising the evening and for coming along. Also thanks to the table of randoms, who were so appreciative of everyone.

Due to it being Scott's birthday on the Monday, we invited a few friends to join us on stage in the form of Iain and Alex, thanks to them for being up for the laugh, videos are on Youtube and the mysapce. We also debuted a new song, '9 Steps', which was very well received by the crowd, and great fun to play.

For those of you who still haven't had their fill, or who simply haven't managed to catch us yet, our next gig is Capitol, Sauchiehall Street, on Easter Sunday (4th April). It looks like we're on around 9pm, if it changes, we'll let you know. We can also now confirm a date for Dundee, Tuesday 20th April, and are working on getting a date in Romford during the summer, and hope to get one or two more Glasgow dates before the summer.

Again, a massive thanks to everyone who has come out to see us, we really appreciate it.

See you soon guys

Egon

The Begining... At Last

Well, that was fun. First gig last night at Maggie May's, and it was absolutely brilliant. Thanks to everyone that came out for it, and also to the other bands on the bill, Thula Borah and Curly's Heroes, and to the sound guys for doing an excellent job.

A broken bass string at the end of the sound check ensured it wasn't completely plain sailing, and by the time the first band went on none of us could sit still, but the set itself was amazing. No obvious mistakes, great crowd and a great mix.

Next gig is Monday night, 13th Note at 9'o'clock, £4 on the door. After that is 27th March at Creation Studios, and the price of that is... FREE, so no excuses.

Thanks once again to all those that came out last night, some making short journeys, others long and arduous treks. It would have been nothing without you, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
