Well, our first gig of the month has been and gone. We played at the Captain's Rest on the 1st for the House of Rock Showcase. After our last two gigs, it was great to get to see some other bands play too. First on were Port Cullas, a band we would advise everyone to check out live. A great set by some great guys, and they provided more entertainment from the crowd as the night went on. We were on second, and played a pretty tight set. We debuted our new song, 'Fuck Up The Pick-Ups', and played all our old classics to a great reception. The robot dance will never get a louder cheer! Last on were Contact Lost, another great set by the boys (and girl), who also boasted a new song as well as a cover of Wishing Well by Bad Company/Free/Paul Rogers. A great crowd were out, and the Captain's Rest is now up there as one of our favourite venues. Thanks to Dan and PB who filmed the set, expect to see some videos soon.
Our second gig of the month is booked for Box on Monday 14th, and sees us share the stage with 5 other bands (see our Top Friends) for a chance to play at the Glasgow Academy as part part of the future fest competition. As always with these talent shows, the winner will be the one who brings the most people/knows the organiser so the more folk we have coming along the better. Win or not, it'll be a great way to introduce our music to lots of potential new fans, so wish us luck.
We'll let you know how it goes.
